NADE
Nade is a self-taught graffiti artist and started painting as a teenager in the ‘90s. Nade’s style combines sharp, clean, and perhaps aggressive shapes with a softer new school and European nuances. Nade has kept some of the elements from the ‘90s, and you can find some flavor of retro and classical graffiti in Nades work.
“I’ve always wanted or attempted to do graffiti differently than others. At the moment, it is surprisingly easy since most people have a very soft style, more round shapes, and unsharp work on purpose. In this work, you can see a combination of mural-like detail and letter-based expression, typical for graffiti. Characters from popular culture complement the colorful work. Metallica font and camouflage pattern remind of the roughness of graffiti and its original birthplace, urban areas. The lightning from left to right ties the pieces of the work together.”
