POPPAMAIJA

Poppamaija is a street artist, bamboo tattoo artist, and graphic designer. Her inspirations come from pure nature, Saimaa, and ugly urban details. She has worked for the City of Helsinki, Flow Festival, etc., and she belongs to the female street art collective Mimmit peinttaa.
 
“I wanted to paint a self-portrait, as I knew this place is not permanent, and on the background, I wanted to add characters that I have painted around the world during the past 7 years. The purpose of this piece was to end one era and move onto something new.”
